Selamat Datang! Welcome to Malaysia. When you arrive to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you’ll be collected by a local representative and transferred to your hotel. As Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur is a city that thrives on modernity with its cultural history still very much intact. Set against a backdrop of gleaming skyscrapers and colonial architecture, Kuala Lumpur is an exciting hub of cultural celebrations, intriguing traditions, great food and a lively creative scene. There will be a welcome meeting at 5 pm tonight to meet your tour leaders. Afterwards sit down to enjoy a delicious welcome dinner and get ready for the exciting adventure ahead.

Have breakfast at your hotel in the morning before head out with your guide for a visit to the Petronas Twin Tower. Afterward, continue your day with a heritage walk of Kuala Lumpur. Remnants of Kuala Lumpur’s early history can still be found among its bustling city streets, from the colonial buildings around Merdeka Square to the Moorishinuenced Masjid Jamek located at the conuence of the Gombak and Klang rivers, the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur. This Heritage Walk highlights these and other notable buildings such as the old railway station, Central Market and Chinatown. Return to your hotel and you will have some free time to explore at your own pace for the remainder of the day.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for your meaningful visit to the Sabah Society for the Deaf. Established in 1975, the Sabah Society for the Deaf is a nonprot and voluntary organisation committed to supporting the deaf and hard‑of‑hearing community in Sabah. The society focuses on education, vocational skills training, employment opportunities, welfare assistance, and promoting awareness on hearing‑loss prevention. Their mission is to empower individuals by providing them with practical skills and a supportive environment where they can build confidence and independence. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the team and introduced to the community. You will then take part in a hands‑on bakery class, conducted together with members of the deaf community. This experience not only gives you the chance to learn basic baking techniques, but also offers a meaningful opportunity to interact, engage, and understand the daily lives and challenges faced by the community. After breakfast, depart from your hotel for a scenic transfer to Kundasang, a charming highland village located near the foothills of Mount Kinabalu. Enjoy the cool mountain air and panoramic views along the journey. Upon arrival, embark on a guided village tour, where you will have the opportunity to explore the community. After lunch, meet your local ranger guide for nature trail walk located at Kinabalu Park. This guided nature trail offers a chance to explore the lush forest environment, observe native ora, and learn about the ecological significance of the area. The ranger will share insights on local wildlife, plant species, and the traditional uses of forest resources. Before heading to your resort, stop by at Pekan Nabalu where you can and variety of local fruits and vegetables sold at one of the tallest mountains in Southeast Asia

Depart after breakfast to Kundasang War Memorial, one of Sabah’s most signicant historical sites. Explore the beautifully landscaped memorial, built to honour the Australian and British prisoners of war who perished during the Sandakan Death Marches in World War II. Wander through the four themed gardens—the Australian Garden, English Rose Garden, Borneo Garden, and Contemplation Garden—each designed to reect peace, remembrance, and reection. Continue the journey to Poring Hot Spring, located on the lower slopes of the Kinabalu National Park area. Famous for its natural hot sulfuric pools, Poring offers a relaxing environment surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. After your visit, return to your vehicle for the transfer back to Kinabalu Pine Resort. Enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure.

Overview
Journey by private bus into the steamy rainforest to Bilit – a small village on the banks of the Kinabatangan River – and then take a short boat ride to the comfortable jungle lodge where you’ll spend the next two nights. Located on the riverbanks, the lodge is a brilliant place to spot wildlife. For even better spotting, head out on a afternoon boat ride and look out for macaques, orangutan, proboscis monkeys and pygmy elephants. End your day by searching for nocturnal wildlife like civets, owls and the rare slow loris on a night walk.

Overview
Be woken by the call of a Bornean gibbon or hornbill before taking an eary morning cruise down the river. Keep an eye out for proboscis monkeys, Borneo gibbons, long tail macaques and pig tail macaques and see if you can spot the differences between each species. After an hour of river cruise, head back to the lodge and have breakfast. After breakfast, you will be joining a guided trek to explore the mighty jungle on foot. Take some time to unwind in the afternoon and then later in the day embark on another river cruise along the Kinabatangan River. Enjoy another night in the heart of the jungle.

Overview
Have breakfast before departing Bilit to Sepilok. Upon arrival at Sepilok, you will be transferred directly to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. This Centre was set up to help re-introduce these wonderful creatures back into the wild after a life of domestication or having been orphaned. To aid the orangutans adapt to the wild, a supplementary diet of bananas is laid out on feeding platforms twice a day. From the viewing platform, you can watch and photograph these charming creatures as they swing into view on ropes and vines. We're not permitted to hinder the orangutans as human contact must be kept to a minimum and it's essential that we follow the instructions of the park, as directed by your leader. There's also a short lm about the orangutan rehabilitation process to watch in the reserve's interpretation centre. Next, we will be heading to Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre which located next to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. This is a wonderful centre taking care of rescued Sun Bears that have spent many years mistreated and locked away in cages. Bornean Sun Bear Conservation centre is giving a better life to these bears by caring for them with the hope of reintroducing them back into the wild. They are doing great work at promoting Sun Bear conservation in Borneo through animal welfare, conservation, rehabilitation, research and education - to put a stop to these cruel practices. Finally, visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), one of Sabah’s most important environmental education facilities located within the Kabili–Sepilok Forest Reserve. The RDC offers an excellent introduction to Borneo’s tropical rainforest ecosystem and is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna. One of the highlights of RDC is the Canopy Walkway, from here, enjoy panoramic views and excellent opportunities for birdwatching.

Overview
This morning, transfer to Sandakan to leave your large bags at the hotel and walk with your overnight bag to a nearby jetty. Travel by speedboat, past small shing villages and bamboo fish traps, to Turtle Island Marine Park. In the afternoon, there will be some time for swimming, snorkeling or lazing about on the beach. In the evening, you’ll join an expert local ranger and a select group of visitors to watch giant green turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs under the moonlight. Watch the rangers as they release protected hatchlings and guide them in their frantic dash to the ocean. This is a moving experience that will stay with you long after your trip is over!

After breakfast, return by speed boat to the mainland. Depart from CQ Jetty and proceed to the Sandakan War Memorial, an important historical site built to commemorate the Allied prisoners of war who perished during World War II. Walk through the serene grounds and learn about the tragic history of the Sandakan Death Marches through interpretive displays and memorial areas. After your visit, continue with a transfer to your hotel for check‑in and a short rest. In the early evening, embark on the Sandakan Heritage Walk, a guided journey through the town’s most notable historical landmarks. This walk offers a wonderful insight into Sandakan’s rich past, tracing stories from the colonial era, wartime history, and local cultural heritage. Conclude your day with a Farewell Dinner at a selected restaurant, where you can enjoy a final meal together while reflecting on the experiences and connections made during your journey. This relaxed evening provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate the trip and bid farewell to your fellow travelers.
